Andrew Chang is currently a junior at Cupertino High School and a percussionist for the California Youth Symphony. He is currently studying with Artie Storch and Tammy Chen. He also has had the pleasure to have private and master classes with great marimba artists such as Theodor Milkov, Weichen Lin, She-e Wu, and Ludwig Albert.
Andrew won the Gold Winner Award at the 2020 and 2022 NLPA International Young Artist Solo Competition, was selected to perform at the 2021 Junior Bach Festival as soloist, and placed 2nd in the 2021 Fall International Music Talent Competition by American Protégé, which will culminate in a performance at Carnegie Hall. He also received Third Place in the 2020 USIMC Young Artist Competition.
In his free time, he enjoys video games, origami, and traveling with the family.
