Shuyuan(Julie) Sun is a high school junior. She studies with Susan Deaver at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division and plays in the Symphony Orchestra. She was selected to play in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra for 2 years(2019-2020). Shuyuan was the New Jersey State winner of the Music Teachers National Association in 2019, she won the 2nd prize in the International Grand Music Competition in 2020. She is also a five time All County musician in the flute , and she joined the All State Symphonic Band festival December last year in Rochester. She was chosen to play in Honor recital performance in MSM precollege in March this year. Julie enjoys running in her spare time and she is the co-captain of the cross country team, and also an all county winner of cross country and winter track.
