Alex Kuck | 3rd Prize | Piano | 9th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Alex Kuck, born in 2005, began to learn the piano at age 5 in Hamburg, Germany. In 2014 he moved to Park City, Utah, and started studying with Ya Liu, a dedicated, highly accomplished instructor and mentor based in Salt Lake City. Alex has won prizes at the local, statewide, national, and international level. In 2019, he won first place in the Tourgee DeBose National Piano Competition in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and placed 2nd in the 2020 and 2021 editions of the American Protégé International Piano and String Competition at Carnegie Hall, New York and at the 2021 United States International Duo Piano Competition at The Broadmoor in Colorado . Also in 2021, Alex placed 1st in the Rome International Grand Prize Virtuoso competition and performed at Parco della Musica, Rome, Italy. Alex attends 11th grade at Park City High School and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Mundi Project. Besides the piano, Alex has played cello with Utah's Youth Junior Symphony Orchestra, is interested in aviation, and enjoys skiing and soccer.
