Brandon Lee | 3rd Prize | Violin | 9th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Brandon Lee, currently age 17, is a rising senior at the Greater Atlanta Christian School. He started studying violin playing early at age 3. As both a solo and orchestral musician, Brandon has accomplished much in both regards. As a solo musician, Brandon has won the third prize in the Concorso Internazionale per Giovani Violinisti Festival dell’ Amicizia mani tra Cine e Italia international competition in 2020. Additionally, he has also won awards in the Georgia Music Teachers Association (GMTA) state competitions such as the Outstanding Performer Award for the Strings/Classical Guitar category in 2021 and 2022, the Outstanding Performer Award for the Instrumental Concerto competition in 2021, and the Award of Excellence for the Instrumental Concerto competition in 2022. In terms of orchestral playing, Brandon has participated in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra since 2019 his 9th grade year. He has also participated in the All-State Orchestra since 2017 his 6th grade year, also obtaining third chair in the first violin section in 2021 and the first chair in the second violin section in 2022. He also currently serves as the concertmaster of the Mastery Chamber Orchestra at his high school. He currently studies with Mr. William Pu at the William Pu Music Academy in Alpharetta, Georgia.
