Ella Cho, age 15, began her piano studies at the age of 6 and is currently under the tutelage of Jenny Shin. For the past few years, Ella has had the privilege to take part in Regional, State, and International competitions. Most recently, she received First place at The Arizona Piano Institute Virtual Competition, Joyeux Music International Piano Competition, The Young Stars International Piano Competition, The Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, Seattle NW Chopin Competition, and The Glissando International Piano Competition. She also received top prizes at The Aloha International Piano Competition, The San Jose International Piano Competition, Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition, Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) State Solo and Contemporary Festival, Glendale Piano Competition, and The Kathryn Garwatin Chopin Competition. Ella has performed with orchestras in Los Angeles and Seoul, Korea. In addition to playing the piano, she enjoys computer science and is a Davidson Young Scholar.
