Taige Wang, is an 11-year-old boy, a young pianist and composer, recently accepted into Juilliard pre-college.
Taige studies piano, composition, and violin.
He started learning piano at the age of four, and gave his first public performance at the same age;
When he was five, he got 1st place at Steinway & Sons Junior Piano Competition and performed in a live show Open Music Class at China Central Television ;
In the 2018 summer, 7-year-old Taige gave a full solo recital with the invitation by Steinway & Sons;
Steinway & Sons, NPR and From the Top’s global social media shared his performances several times which got hot views;
He attended NPR's From The Top show in May 2021 and his FTT daily joy got 200k + views;
He was featured in the Documentary for Celebrating 30 Years of the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition in November 2021;
he has been invited to perform at From the Top GALA 2022 in June.
Taiga won numerous competitions including:
1st Prize at Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, also the Best Concert Etude and Best Hungarian Rhapsody for all age categories;
Piano E Competition 1st prize and Best Mendelssohn Prize;
Chicago International Music Competition and Festival grand prize winner of Professional Category of all age division;
SIMA Classics(British) International Young Artist Competition Grand Prize, was invited to give a solo recital at polish hearth club under Duke of Kent's patronage.
Taige is also an ASCAP writer and publisher member. His composition Preludes for the Piano recently won the Composer Today State Contest 1st place.
