Karen is 12 years old, living in San Jose, California. She has been learning piano for 7 years and currently studies with Mrs. Miyuki Otani.
Her recent awards include Outstanding Gold Medal in 2022 US Open Music Competition, Second prize in 2022 Best Mozart Category in the Great Composer Series, 2021 Best Debussy Category, as well as Honorable Mention in 2022 Korean-American Music Supporters Association Competition. She has also won numerous awards in USIMC Competition 2020, Bay Area Piano Competition 2021, United Stars Music Competition.
Karen is also a vivid improviser. She can improvise story-telling music on the spot for more than 10 minutes long.
Besides Piano, Karen enjoys Cello and Creative Drawing, and playing with her two kitties.
