Skylar Peck | 2nd Prize | Violin | 9th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


 Skylar was born in the United States of America. She started playing the violin at age 6 and has studied at the Korean National Institute for the Gifted in Arts. She has received the judges' distinction award at the American Protege International Competition, the first prizes at the Rudolf Barshai International Competition, Camerata Artist International Competition, North International Music Competition, Canadian International Music Competition, Korea-China International Violin Competition, and many other international competitions. She also has received many prestigious awards at numerous major national competitions. Recently, she has been named a 2022 National YoungArts Foundation winner. She has performed at several distinguished music halls worldwide, such as Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall and the Berlin Philharmonic Chamber Hall. She has performed with the Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, the SIS Coda orchestra, the Seoul Academy Ensemble, and the Asan Philharmonic Orchestra. Her recent summer activities include participating in Morningside Music Bridge, Classical Music Bridge, Singapore Violin Festival, Ishikawa Music Academy, and Great Mountains Music Festival and School. She has taken masterclasses with Svetlin Roussev, Koichiro Harada, Clara Jumi Kang, Roland Daugareil, Regis Pasquier, Radu Blidar, Boris Brovtsyn, Lucy Roberts, Ani Kavafian, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Nikki Chooi, William van der Sloot, and Ray Chen.
