Jiachen Cao began learning the violin when he was 3 years old, with Chengfen Wang as his teacher. He attends the Central Conservatory of Music Primary School from 2015 to 2018, where he is taught by Prof. Wei Zhao. From 2018 till the present: Professor Wei Zhao is Jiachen Cao's teacher at the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School.

September 2011 - achieve the 1st prize of Children's Group at the Tianjin Violin Competition;
August 2012/2013/2014 - achieve the Golden Star Award at the 6/7/8-years-old-Group of the 5/6/7th Golden Beijing Violin and Viola Art Festival;
August 2014 - achieve the Gold Medalist of Children's A Group at the Asian Music Competition in Korea;
August 2014 - achieve the 1st prize of the children’s B group at the Children's Violin Competition of the 11th National Children's Violin Competition, the 1st prize of the Chinese Works Award;
October 2014 - achieve the Golden Star Award of Children's 2nd Group at the Tianjin Violin competition;
May 2015 - achieve the 1st prize of Group A at the Tianjin School String Art competition;
September 2016 - achieve the 1st prize in the Beijing Division at the Hummingbird Music Awards China Youth Music Competition;
July 2018 - achieve the 2nd prize at the 11th Zeus International Music Festival in Greece;
September 2018 - achieve the 2nd prize of Group A at the Siqing Lu ShenZhen FuTian International String Competition;
August 2019 - achieve the 3rd prize of String Instrument Category II (age between 13 to 18 years old) at the Antonio Vivaldi Vienna International Competition;
August 2019 - achieve the 5th place of the professional group (under 40 years old) at the first Hohhot International Music Summer Camp competition;
June 2019 - achieve the 3rd prize of the String Category (Junior to Senior Group) at the 6th Central Conservatory of Music Middle School Scholarship Competition;
March 2020 - Accepted into the NYO Youth Symphony Orchestra
September 2020 - achieve the Primo of Category B at the 30th Young Musician International Competition “Citta’di Barletta”;
October 2020 - achieve the finalist of the B1 category at the International Competition for Young Violinists China and Italy and was invited to Rome, Italy for the grand final;
November 2020 - achieve the 3rd prize of the chamber music group at the 3rd International String Music Festival of Siqing Lu ShenZhen FuTian and the Futian Cup National Youth String Elite Competition;
May 2021 - achieve the finalist of Violin GROUP A at the Chinese National Preliminary Auditions for the XI Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians and was admitted for participation in the International Competition;
August 2021 - achieve the 3rd prize of the A2 category at the 2nd Concurso International Music China-Espana.

September 2019 - joined the Sunshine Piano Trio of the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School.

January 2018 - joined the China Youth Symphony Orchestra;
March 2018 - serves as concertmaster of the Beijing PolyWeDo Chamber Orchestra;
