James Xue is a high school student who is currently enrolled in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre College program, where he studies with Vicky Wang. James previously studied with Brady Anderson. He placed second in the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition Junior cello division in 2020, first in the North California Young Talents Music Competition in November 2020, and second in the US International Open Music Competition in February 2021.
