Qiao Tiger Zhang (piano), Nathaniel Yue (cello), and Holly Lacey (violin) are members of the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts’ Ed and Mari Edelman Chamber Music Institute’s Honors Program. Coached by Michael Kaufman, the piano trio was recently the featured trio in the Colburn School’s Winter Honors Recital and participated in a masterclass with Jean Yves Thibeaudet. Tiger studies the piano with Jeffrey Lavner and was recently awarded first place in the Steinway Piano Competition in Southern California, among others. Nathaniel studies the cello with Vardan Gasparyan and Ronald Leonard and was recently featured on National Public Radio’s From the Top, Episode 399. Holly studies the violin with Margaret Batjer and Joanna Lee and currently serves as Concertmaster of the Colburn Youth Orchestra.
