Tane Kim | 2nd Prize | Strings | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Tane Kim, from Orange County, California, is a student in the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) Strings and Orchestra Conservatory. His musical journey began at the age of 5 with the piano and cello, and currently studies cello under Jenny Hyunseung Oh. Tane has won numerous international accolades for cello performance and has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. He has also performed as a cellist for California All-State Symphony Orchestra in 2022 and 2021, principal cellist for California All-Southern Honor Orchestra, as well as OCSA’s Symphony Orchestra. In addition to playing the modern cello, Tane enjoys practicing Baroque repertoire under Dr. Leif Woodward. Outside of music, Tane plans on pursuing pre-medical studies and one day specialize as a physician in oncology or pediatric cardiology.
