Jonathan Yuen
Sixteen-year-old percussionist and 11th grader who currently studies at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California and currently a percussionist at the California Youth Symphony.. He is currently studying with Jack, Nissly, Anthony Cirone and Tammy Chen, also had pleasure to have private and master classes with some of the greatest marimba artists such as Gordon Stout, She-e Wu, Pei Ching Wu, WeiChen Lin, and Theodor Milkov.
He is the member of California Youth Symphony Orchestra and UchannelTV chamber music ensemble.
Jonathan had won the 1st place of 2021 PASIC High School Keyboard competition, and Young Artist at USIMC, also had been selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival for the past two years as soloist and chamber group,
He also had a chamber group who had won the Grand award in 2019 at the National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
When not studying for school and music, I enjoy hiking, skiing, rafting, camping and travelling with the family.
David Hsieh
David is a happy 11th grade student at Valley Christian School lives in Cupertino California.
His passion with marimba starts when playing marimba chamber at age 8, since then he falls in love with the instrument.
David studies with Anthony Cirone and Tammy Chen and is blessed to have private and master classes with great marimba artists Gordon Stout, Weichen Lin, Felix Meyers, Theodor Milkov and She-e Wu.
He is the member of San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, Cupertino Symphonic Band, Uchannel chamber music and played in the percussion section with San Jose Youth Symphony for Nutcracker in 2018.
He enjoyed playing for events through out the Bay Area.
