Bowen Zhao was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China in October 2005. She studied vocal music and piano performance since she was a child. She studied vocal music under Ming Lei, a mezzo-soprano singer. Bowen’s singing skills and artistic expression have made great progress under teacher’s individualized training. Gradually, she developed her own singing style. In 2021, she was admitted to the vocal major of the Music Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music with honors. She actively participates in activities and concerts organized by the school.
Notable Prizes she has received include First Prize in the International Bach Competition (2022), First Prize in Canada Rotal Sound Vocal Competition (2022), Silver Prize in Amadeus International Music Awards (2022), Gold Prize in London Young Musician International Music Competition (2022), Third Prize in The North International Music Competition (2022), Gold Prize in the 9th Youth Art Exchange Exhibition-National Finals (2019), First Prize in the National Art Angel Exhibition-Shanghai Regional Competition (2018), Gold Prize in National Campus Talent TV Competition (2017), etc. She also has amazing performance in international exchange activities.
