Anna Park is a current sophomore at Alameda High School, where she joins her school’s symphonic band for concerts, events, and state competitions including CMEA. Anna began the flute at age 10, and is currently a member of the Berkeley Youth Orchestra, where she serves as the co-principal flutist. In addition to the Berkeley Youth Orchestra, she is a member of the Berkeley Youth Chamber Orchestra, which plays a variety of repertoire separate from the main orchestra. Aside from performing with BYO at concerts and local museums including the Oakland Museum, she is currently a member of the Tri-Valley Symphonics, which is a student-based music organization that performs and narrates stories for young children at local libraries, including the Dublin Library, Danville Library, Dougherty Station Library, as well as fundraiser concerts at local parks. Anna won top prizes in competitions including the Silicon Valley Music Competition, San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition, American Classical Young Musician Award Competition, the Junior Bach Festival, the 2024 Berkeley Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition where she will perform a concerto accompanied by the orchestra, and the American Protege International Woodwinds Competition, through which she made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2024. She has been invited to perform for the Junior Bach Festival, the American Protege Winners Recital, the Rossmoor Chamber Music Society, and the 2024 CASMEC All-State Golden State Band, where she played for renowned pianist and composer, Julie Giroux.
