Madison Chiang | 3rd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 10th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Madison Chiang is a third-grader at Saint Andrew’s Episcopal school in Saratoga. She started to play the marimba with teacher Tammy Chen when she’s 6 years old and instantly fell in love with the sound of the instrument. Her favorite composer is J.S. Bach. Madison has just won the 2024 NLPA music competition as a gold winner and has had the honor to perform in the Carnegie Hall after winning first prize at the Golden Classical music awards in 2023. She also plays piano and violin. Madison joins the Tahoe ski race team and also ice skates. At her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Her favorite season is summer as she gets to visit grandparents in Taiwan during summer break.
