Li Ziyu, born in Luoyang, Henan, has been studying percussion since 2010. Since 2015, she has been studying Western percussion under the guidance of Yang Ruwen from the Department of Modern Instrumental and Percussion at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She was admitted to Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2021 with the highest score in her major. During her professional studies, she also studied percussion systematically under teachers Zhou Xiong, Wang Jie, and Song Yuchen.
