Xinyan Shi started studying violin at the age of 9. She has won prizes in various competitions on violin, including 1st Prize and "Committee Grand Prize" in the 2021 Youth Olympic Music Festival, Gold Award in the 14th Golden Beijing Violin Competition in 2021, 3rd Place in the 3rd National Youth Violin Concerto Competition in 2022, 1st Prize in the 2022 China Youth Music Competition Hummingbird Music Awards, 3rd Place in the Hong Kong International Music Festival, 3rd Place in the 2023 KAMSA Competition’s Senior Division, and 1st Prize in the 2024 Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition. She is also part of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra.
