Ethan Chen is a sophomore in Mission San Jose High School, California. He started playing cello when he was nine years old, and quickly found a passion through his school orchestra, which he played in throughout elementary and middle school. He was taught by Mr. Alan Yang up to the present. Recently, he won a silver award in the 2024 Grand Maestro International Music Competition for his solo cello performance. Ethan also loves math and computer science, and has partaken in multiple math competitions. He enjoys basketball and plays in a league every week.
