Katherine Nguyen, 16, is a violist from St. Louis, Missouri. She current studies under Joanna Mendoza, the Professor of Viola at UMSL University. She is the Co-principal Violist of the St. Louis Youth Symphony and the violist of the competing Raemonia Quartet. She is a recent 2025 YoungArts Classical Music Winner and the winner of the Missouri Music Teacher Association's String 10-12th Grade Division. Besides from playing music, she also enjoys coordinating performances and teaching. She is a leader in her school's Tri-M and Buskers Club, teaches elementary schoolers violin, and is a Co-artistic Director of The Very Asian Concert. Besides music, she enjoys drinking boba, reading, and making spotify playlists.
