Shiv Sitaram | 2nd prize | Strings | 10th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Shiv Sitaram is a dedicated 8th grade student at Stanford Online High School and an aspiring musician. He is a student of Scott Cmiel at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Pre-College Division, where he studies music theory, guitar ensemble, and chamber music in a guitar quartet. Shiv has been playing the guitar since the age of six and enjoys performing compositions by renowned artists such as Francisco Tárrega, Andrew York, and Antonio Lauro. He frequently performs in recitals and in informal performances as a volunteer at local senior citizen assisted living centers and other health care centers. He won the second prize in the Art of Strings competition and has participated in several master classes at the South Bay Guitar Society. A lifelong learner with an insatiable curiosity, Shiv delves deeply into a wide array of subjects other than classical guitar, including philosophy, computer science, mathematics, Roman mythology, and Latin. His passion for coding competitions reflects his sharp analytical mind and creative problem-solving skills, while his love for classical guitar highlights his artistic depth and dedication to musical excellence.
