The LA Brio Trio is a vibrant and dedicated piano trio from The Colburn School in Los Angeles, California. They are formed through the Honors Ed and Mari Edelman Chamber Music Institute. The trio's name, LA Brio, reflects their passionate and fiery approach towards music-making. Under the guidance of Jonah Sirota and Rina Dokshitsky, the LA Brio Trio has built a strong repertoire with a variety of styles of music and has cultivated an appreciation for the collaborative yet expressive qualities of chamber music. They have also received feedback and have had masterclasses with esteemed professors such as: Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Robert Lipsett, Inga Kapouler Gartner, Moni Simeonov, and Stella Cho. In December 2024, they were selected to perform in the Colburn Winter Honors Recital held in the Zipper Hall of the Colburn School after a rigorous audition process.
