The Onde Trio met at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2023. Since its inception, the trio has brought the requisite combination of dedication, joy, hard work and attention to detail as they aspire to create chamber music of the highest quality together. Their name was inspired by the Italian word for wave, onde, that denotes the qualities of the soundwaves they create, the waves of the San Francisco Bay, and a playful nod to the waves in their hair. In 2024, the trio received First Prize in the US International Music Competition and second place in the ENKOR International Music Competition, among other honors. They have performed in a masterclass with Emanuel Ax and for audiences in the SF Bay Area and beyond. In November 2024, the trio held their first full-length concert, performing for a full house in SFCM's iconic Barbro Osher Recital Hall. The trio is inspired to share their passionate interpretations of classical music with diverse audiences. For more information, see www.ondetrio.com.
