Amy Yu is a junior at White Station High School in Tennessee. Her music journey began with playing piano at age 4 and started playing flute with Mrs. Myung Kim at age 10. Since then, she has placed in many music competitions and honors bands, including the Tennessee All-West Band and the highly selective International Honors Junior Band at Carnegie Hall. Her accolades include 1st place in the American Protege International Concerto Competition, 1st place in the Beethoven Club Young Artists Competition, 3rd place in the International Grande Music Competition, 3rd place in the Bellagrande International Music Competition, and Finalist in the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition. Currently, she also plays in the GPAC Youth Symphony Orchestra.
