Eileen Lee, a 15-year-old freshman at Palo Alto High School in California, has been playing the flute for five years. She studies flute with renowned teachers, Isabelle Chapuis and Yubeen Kim. In school band, she plays the flute and piccolo and was selected for the California All-State band. Eileen is a principal flutist of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
Her exceptional passion led her to 1st place in several competitions, such as the Korean American Music Supporters’ Association(KAMSA) senior wind category, Charleston International, Grand Prize Virtuoso Berlin, and more. Eileen also won in the US International Music Competition and American Protégés. She recently performed at Carnegie Weill Hall and the Junior Bach Festival. She participated in the Northern California Flute Camp and played at Professor John Thorne’s master class. Beyond music, she enjoys visual arts. She won a gold medal at the Scholastic Arts and Writing awards.
