Ella Liu | 2nd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 11th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Ella Liu is a sophomore at Collierville High School and an award-winning flutist recognized at the international, national, and state levels. Her recent accolades include: YoungArts 2025 Award Winner for Classical Music, Winner of the Lois Pickard Concerto Competition, and First Place in the Tennessee Music Teachers Association (TMTA) Senior Woodwind Competition. In the fall of 2024, Ella had the honor of performing as a soloist with the Germantown Symphony Orchestra after winning their concerto competition. This summer, she will join Carnegie Hall’s NYO2 Orchestra as one of three flutists selected from across the United States. She is especially excited to perform as part of NYO2’s European debut at the Edinburgh International Festival, where the orchestra will collaborate with Scottish musicians.

Outside of competitions and performances, Ella is passionate about community engagement through music. She performs regularly in hospitals, senior centers, and cultural events with her flute choir and chamber music group, using music as a way to uplift and connect with others.

Ella has studied flute with Mrs. Myung Kim for over five years and continues to grow both as a musician and as a person through her dedication to artistry and service.
