Minseok Moon | 3rd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 11th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Minseok Moon is a 17-year-old saxophonist attending Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California. He has studied saxophone and clarinet under Philip Halseth for the past six years. Minseok joined the California Youth Symphony in 2022, currently serves as principal saxophonist for the 2023–2025 season and he was selected as solo competition winner in 2025. He has also been selected for both the California All-State Honor Band and the Northern California Honor Band in 2022, 2024.

Minseok was placed 1st in the Great Composer competition and San Francisco Innovative International Music Competition in 2024. He was also accepted as the Junior Bach Festival performance in 2025. He has participated in the School Wind and Jazz Ensemble. As a member of Trivalley Symphonics which is music story telling group, he has performed the music to inspire and engage local children in the community.
