Poppy Wang is a 6th grader at Houston Middle School in Tennessee. She has been learning flute with Ms. Myung Kim since she was 9 years old. Poppy has earned Honorable Mention in Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) TN Junior Woodwind Competition in October 2024, First place in Tennessee Music Teacher Association (TMTA) Elementary Woodwind Solo Competition in June 2024, First Place in Beethoven Club Junior A Flute Solo Competition in Apr 2024, 4th Chair in All-West Blue Band (Flute) in 2024, Third Place in Beethoven Club Junior B Flute Solo Competition in March 2025. Besides flute, Poppy also participated in drama performances. She has enjoyed singing and dancing.
