Jeanne Park | GRAND PRIZE | Violin | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Jeanne Park, a Pacific Northwest native, began her classical violin training at the age of four and started composing music by age ten.

Her orchestral debut was with Italy's Orchestra Europa Musica, followed by a performance as the Concerto Competition winner with the Evergreen Philharmonic Orchestra. Jeanne is currently a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, Evergreen Philharmonic, and Seattle Chamber Music Society.

A top prizewinner in numerous violin competitions, Jeanne's accolades include 1st place at the WMEA Solo and Ensembles Competition, gold medals from the KMA Competition and NFMC Stillman Kelly Competition, awards from the Enkor International Competition and Olympia Symphony’s Young Artist Competition, and recognition at the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside. She is also a three-time winner of the Simon-Fiset String Competition and a recipient of the Jean Kanter Memorial Trophy.

Jeanne has participated in masterclasses with renowned violinists Ray Chen, James Ehnes, and Mimi Zweig. Her summer music festival experiences include the Heifetz International Music Institute, Music Fest Perugia Italy, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and Vivace International Music festival.

Also an internationally recognized composer, Jeanne has achieved recognition in numerous composition competitions. She has been involved with the Seattle Symphony’s Merriman-Ross Family Young Composers Workshop for the past three years, and her compositions have been premiered by the Seattle Symphony. In 2023, she was featured in a documentary titled “Five Young Composers,” celebrating the workshop's 30th anniversary.

Beyond her musical pursuits, Jeanne enjoys playing ensemble music, cooking, and playing pickleball with friends.
