Junnosuke Yanagisawa | 2nd prize | Violin | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Junnosuke Yanagisawa, 16, currently studies with Antoine van Dongen of UC Berkeley. He has won top prizes in prestigious competitions, including the National YoungArts Competition, Bellagrande International Music Competition, Silicon Valley Philharmonic Music Competition, KAMSA Music Competition, the Junior Bach Festival, and many more. As a chamber ensemble, he has won 1st place in the Charleston International Music Competition as a piano trio.

Junnosuke has participated in summer festivals such as the Meadowmount School of Music, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and has been invited to the Interlochen Center for the Arts and Brevard Music Center. He served as Violin II principal in the Young Artists Orchestra at Tanglewood. Junnosuke has also studied chamber music under Jonathan Koh at the California Music Preparatory Academy. He joined the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra in 2024 and has performed at major venues like Carnegie Hall, Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall, and Seiji Ozawa Hall.
