Lina Elwood | 1st prize | Piano | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


 Lina Elwood, 15, studies the piano with Svitlana Fiorito and Vitaly Starikov.  Lina has won numerous top prizes at regional and international competitions, including Steinway Piano Competition, Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition in Poland, Burgos International Music Festival Competition in Spain, Renee B. Fisher Competition, J.Y. Park Piano Competition, Schubert Club of Fairfield County Awards Competition, among others.

In addition to her solo performances, Lina has enjoyed playing with orchestras and chamber music groups.  Most recently, Lina was named the winner of Norwalk Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Concerto Competition and Hamden Symphony Orchestra Young Musicians Concerto Competition for her performance of Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.2.  Last summer, as a top prize winner in the concerto category of Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition, Lina playsd with the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Warsaw Impressione Orchestra in Poland.

As a winner of various competitions, Lina has performed at Carnegie Weil Recital Hall, DiMenna Center in New York, Vilar Perforing Arts Center in Colorado, and Warsaw National Philharmonic Concert Hall, Ursynow Cultural Center and Palace on the Isle at the Royal Lazienki Park in Poland.

Lina has participated in masterclasses with renowned piano professors and pianists around the world, such as Alexander Korsantia, Andrzej Jasinski, Amy Yang, Bronislawa Kawalla, Victoria Mushkatkol, Miyoko Lotto, Young Hyun Cho, Paul Wirth, and Jefferey Cohen.
