Zhuoyue Zhang, born in 2002 in China, started her musical journey at six years old. In 2012, she started her formal education at the Middle School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where she underwent nine years of professional training under the mentorship of Professor Natalia Filippova. In 2021, Zhuoyue got accepted by the Eastman School of Music, where she is completing her Bachelor of Music degree under the guidance of Professors Natalya Antonova and Ran Dank. At Eastman, she has showcased her artistry in performances in several venues, embracing opportunities for recitals and immersing herself in both solo and chamber music settings.
During these four years in College, Zhuoyue has been selected to participate in various international music festivals. In 2022, she attended the RPPF Music Festival with full scholarships, followed by the Gijón Piano Festival in 2023 and the Bowdoin Music Festival in 2024. This summer, she will be attending Pianofest in Hamptons with full scholarship. These experiences provided her with opportunities to engage in masterclasses with world-class musicians, including Jerome Lowenthal, Logan Skelton, Soyeon Kate Lee, and so on.
Zhuoyue’s accomplishments include winning First Prize at the 2020 Macau Piano Competition and the 2019 International Young Pianists Competition. Her recent achievements include a series of performances across the United States, Spain, and China, where she has captivated audiences with her expressive interpretations and sincere musicality.
