Jammie Lee | 2nd prize | Piano | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


 Inducted in the Classical “30 Under 30” List by CBC Music in 2024, Jammie Lee has carved a distinctive path in the world of classical music. Jammie was the first prize winner of the 2024 biennial WMC McLellan Competition with a $10,000 top prize, where he performed Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. He also earned top honors in national and international competitions, including first prize at the International ENKOR Music Competition, absolute platinum medals at the US-Canadian and Trinity International Music Competitions, and prizes at the Canadian Music Competition and Federation of Canadian Music Festivals National Finals. Despite his illustrious trajectory in music, Jammie is a Bachelor of Science graduate from McGill University and is currently a medical student at the University of Manitoba.

Beginning his musical education under Dr. Seo Jung Won at the prestigious Seoul Arts Center, Jammie moved to Canada, where he continued his studies with Dr. Kyung Kim and Dr. Lawrence Jones at Brandon University. Currently, he is based in Winnipeg. Jammie made his professional debut at age 15 with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and gave a solo recital as the emerging artist at the 2021 Agassiz Chamber Music Festival. His performances have been featured on CBC News and Winnipeg Classical 107, marking him as a prominent figure in the Canadian music scene.
