Melody Gao is a sophomore in high school from Fremont, California, and has been playing cello for six years. She has had the privilege of attending the Junior High All-state Orchestra and CODA Honor Orchestra, performing alongside many other talented musicians. Melody has also been a member of the Golden State Youth Orchestra for 3 years, where she was principal cellist for two years. Her solo piece, the Lalo Cello Concerto in D Minor, is currently her favorite solo cello repertoire. Melody is passionate about performing music and hopes to pursue art far into the future.
