Ellie Ahn is currently studying under Christina Smith. She is first chair of the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra, and she was the principal flutist of the MYSO Philharmonic and the winner of its concerto competition in 2023. In 2026, she made 1st chair of full orchestra in All-State, and 2nd place in the Navy Band Young Artist Solo Competition and honorable mention in the Georgia Philharmonic Concerto Competition. In 2025, she was selected as one of 3 Georgia Governor's Honors Program Flute Finalists. In 2024, she attended the Tanglewood Summer Music Camp. She was the state winner of the MTNA Junior Competition. She performed at the FFA Convention as a winner of the high school master class competition. In 2023, she won the Atlanta Flute Club’s Junior Artist Competition. She has been in the Wesleyan School Marching Band, directed by Jeff Foster, since seventh grade. She also loves to sing classical music.
