Jinwoo Lee is a sophomore at Leigh High School. He has played the clarinet since the age of 11 and currently studies under Ms. Hyemin Yun.
He joined SJYS in 2022 as a member of the Chamber Orchestra and now serves as the principal clarinetist of the Philharmonic Orchestra. As the winner of the SJYS Solo Competition, he was also featured as a soloist with the orchestra.
He has been selected for the California All-State Band for four consecutive years since junior high school. He has also won the KAMSA Competition, the AFAF International Concerto Competition, and the United States International Music Competition, and has participated in the KAMSA Orchestra.
At school, he is actively involved in the Leigh High School Wind Ensemble.
When he is not playing the clarinet, Jinwoo enjoys playing competitive soccer and spending time with his friends.
