Kellyn Hu is a fifteen-year-old percussionist and a sophomore at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California, USA. She is currently studying with Chinping Tammy Chen and Galen Lemmon. Kellyn has been selected as a percussionist for the California All-State Honor Band (CASMEC) for four consecutive years from 2023 to 2026. She received the Special Judges Award at the NLPA International Young Artists Competition. She has received top prizes in several competitions, including First Place in the Junior High Marimba Solo and Chamber Ensemble divisions at the Percussive Arts Society West Region Competitive Festival, and multiple awards at the United States Open Music Competition. She enjoys exploring expressive marimba repertoire and performing in both solo and ensemble settings.
