Patrycja Mazur | Second Prize | Winds & Percussion | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 




Patrycja Mazur was born in Wrocław, Poland.
Currently, she is in her first year of a bachelor’s degree program, studying under Professor Tomasz Miczka and Ph.D. Lorena Mac at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland.

In 2025 she graduated from the General Education Music School of the I-st and II-nd degree of Karol Szymanowski in Wrocław. For the first 7 years of school, she was playing the piano. In 2020 she started to play the oboe.

Since then she has received over 20 awards in competitions nationally and internationally, for example: first place at the International Competition "Giovani in Crescendo" VII edizione 2025, first place at the International Music Competition The Music of the Centuries – The Music of the 20th Century 2025, first place at the Second National Oboe-Bassoon Competition in Pabianice 2023, Silver Award at the International Euterpe Music Awards Competition 2023, or third place and "Award for the best interpretation of a Polish composer's miniature" at the Sixth Pomeranian Oboe Festival in Gdynia hosted by the Centre of Artistic Education (2024).

She took part in 22 different masterclasses with professors from all over the world, for example with prof. Ralph van Daal (Maastricht), prof. Peter Frankenberg (Netherlands), prof. David Walter (Paris), prof. Dusan Foltyn (Czech Republic), prof. Arkadiusz Krupa (Warsaw), prof. Tomasz Miczka (Katowice).

Patrycja played as a principal oboe in a symphonic orchestra in many prestigious concerts, for example the Crazy Days of Music Festival at the Grand Theatre – National Polish Opera in Warsaw or the Spirit of Youth concert at the National Music Forum in Wrocław.

She also performed as a soloist in many prestigious concerts. She debuted as a soloist with orchestral accompaniment at the New Year’s Gala Concert in Wrocław (2025).

Patrycja has been receiving a scholarship from the President of Wrocław and from her school for several years. She was also awarded the Promovere Talenta scholarship for the best student in 2023. Last year she also achieved the Special Award of the Rector of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk for the highest score within the specialization at the "VIRTUOSO!" Competition.

Patrycja loves her instrument and she dedicates her future to music.
