Vinayak Vikram | Second Prize | Winds & Percussion | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 



Vinayak Vikram is a 15-year-old student at Stanford Online High School and the Pre-College division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studies composition and violin. He was the winner in the Baroque & Classical Woodwinds Sections of the American Virtuoso International Music Competition and has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall twice – J.S. Bach, Chaconne on the soprano recorder, and Mozart’s Turkish Concerto on the alto recorder. He has also performed at the honors performance at the Junior Bach Festival twice. Notably, he has arranged and performed (in competition) Bach’s Chaconne from the D minor Violin Partita and Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. He also won the Progressive Musicians Laureate Gala composition competition and had the first movement of one of his string quartets (“Crystalline Raindrops”) performed at Carnegie Hall. He has been a National Finalist at the National Federation of Music Clubs annual composition competition. Vinayak has participated in and placed first or second in several National and International Woodwind Competitions. His other interests include Science, Higher Mathematics, Chess, Robotics and Engineering, and Sailing. He enjoys time in Nature.
