David Gatien | 3rd Prize | Piano | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


David Gatien, from Bellevue, WA (USA), studies piano with Dr. Nancy Jang.  David is a two-time Gold Medal winner of the Chopin Foundation of the United States, Northwest Council Piano Competition, winning his first Gold when he was 6 years old, just ten months after his first piano lesson.  David has also been selected as an Honors Recitalist for the last three years in a row from the Washington State Music Teachers Association Eastside Chapter Adjudication, and was most recently awarded a First Place prize from the Eastside Music Teachers Association Scholarship Competition for the Fifth Grade at age 9.  David has been a top prize winner of several piano competitions, and has been invited to play at Carnegie Hall, at which he will be performing this summer.  In his spare time, David enjoys reading, watching movies and playing video games.
