Carlota Combis Clara | 3rd Prize | Violin | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Born and raised in Spain, Carlota Combis is a 22 year old violinist that is currently studying at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under Grigory Kalinovsky. She previously graduated from CPM Adolfo Salazar in Madrid, where she studied with Anna Baget and where she finished her degree with Honorable Mention in Violin, Distinction in Chamber Music and Special Award Adolfo Salazar. She has received masterclasses from such renowed musicians such as Pinchas Zukerman, Silvia Marcovici or Agustín León Ara, among others, and chamber music coachings from the Cuarteto Quiroga and the Pacifica Quartet. She has received awards in different competitions such as the Muse International Competition, North International Competition, Danube International Concerto Competition, Concurso de Cámara Ciudad de Ávila and Concurso de Cámara Adolfo Salazar. An interactive performer, she has participated in the Bloomington Connect Project, an outreach project to engage with the community and Proyecto MusaE, that delivered concerts in Spanish museums. She has given solo recitals in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Girona) and Santa Cristina d'Aro (Girona).
