Jamie Cheung, 15, is a sophomore at Henry M. Gunn High School, where he is the principal violist of the chamber orchestra and the symphony orchestra. He studies with Madeline Prager at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division. He is a violist in the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. In 2021, Jamie earned an Associate Diploma in Violin and Viola Performance from Trinity College London, and received accolades in the 2023 KAMSA Competition.
Jamie also loves to perform music for the community through organizing performances and playing the viola for seniors, neurodiverse individuals, and underserved communities in the Bay Area as an organizer for Notes For All, a student run performance group."
