Yufei Jiang is a 13-year-old cellist from California who began playing the piano at the age of 6 and started cello at 8-years-old. She has been studying with her teacher, Kyeong Kim, ever since. Yufei has earned many awards in Cello, including first place in the Silicon Valley Music Competition and United States International Open Music Competition, and second place in the United States Open Music Competition etc.
In addition to her individual achievements, Yufei is also passionate about playing in orchestras. She has been a member of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra since she was 9 and currently serves as the principal cellist. Looking ahead, she will also be a participant in the Junior High School All-State String Orchestra in 2025.
