Benjamin Cha | Second Prize | Strings | 11th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 



Benjamin Cha, 16, has been studying the cello for seven years. He currently performs in the New York Youth Symphony Chamber Music Program and was accepted into the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College program. Ben is a two-time first-place winner at the Vivo International Music Competition and a first-place recipient in the Great Composers Art of Strings Competition. He also received the Outstanding Musical Performance Award at the New York Young Virtuoso Competition. He has participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Philippe Muller, Astrid Schween, Julia Lichten, and Frederick Zlotkin. Ben is an 11th-grade First Honor Roll student at Bergen Catholic High School and a varsity cross-country and track athlete.
